1. The APPU Service

APPU is an interactive, voice-enabled AI learning platform designed to explain school concepts, guide homework, provide quizzes, and assist students in Classes 5 through 12 across standard academic subjects (including Science, Mathematics, and Languages in English and Kannada).

2. Parent & Guardian Responsibility

Because our platform serves school-age learners under the age of 18:

• All account creation, subscription purchases, and payment authorizations must be performed by a parent or legal guardian of legal age.
• Parents and guardians are responsible for configuring learner profiles, supervising their student's usage, and managing subscription renewals.
• Account credentials must be kept confidential by the parent/guardian.

3. Subscription Plans & Billing

APPU provides both free discovery access and paid subscription plans (including APPU Free, APPU Evolve, APPU Evolve+, APPU Genesis, and APPU Signature).

• Prepaid Digital Access: Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis as selected during checkout.
• Payment Processing: Payments are processed securely in Indian Rupees (INR) via Razorpay. Supported payment methods include UPI, Netbanking, Debit/Credit Cards, and digital wallets.
• Automatic Renewals: Recurring subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled prior to the renewal date via the Parent Zone.
• Price Changes: Any adjustments to subscription pricing will be communicated in advance, and existing active billing cycles will be honored.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy Reference

5. AI Learning Assistance Disclaimer

APPU provides automated AI-generated explanations intended as a supplementary study aid and tutoring assistant:

• While we employ safety guardrails and curated curriculum frameworks, AI outputs are generated algorithmically and should be used to support, not replace, regular school teaching, official textbooks, and human educators.
• APPU is not an accredited degree-granting educational board, school, or examination authority.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

Users agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or harmful purposes.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, crawl, or scrape the platform infrastructure or proprietary models.
• Intentionally submit abusive, obscene, or harmful prompts designed to bypass educational safety filters.
• Share or resell subscription credentials outside the registered household.

7. Intellectual Property

All software code, user interface designs, the APPU character visual assets, brand trademarks, curriculum frameworks, and proprietary algorithms are the exclusive intellectual property of IGR Academy and its licensors.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, IGR Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the platform.

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Karnataka, India.
